Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the subject matter expert in general health-related areas in the educational school setting. This role provides care to students with health needs, refers students to outside providers, and assists with screenings and prevention of communicable diseases.

About the role

This full-time position serves Jefferson Elementary School, commencing immediately upon hire. The schedule is 7.75 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• On-site, hands-on management of routine and emergency health concerns across multiple health offices district-wide, following district policy, guidelines, and state law
• Daily distribution of student medications
• Maintenance of student health records
• Ongoing communication with parents, teachers, specialists, principals, and the health service coordinator
• Collect and report data as directed by the Licensed School Nurse

Requirements

• LPN or RN licensure
• CPR and First Aid Training (strongly preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable using computers
• Well-organized and team-oriented

Pay

• LPN: $29.30 per hour
• RN: $37.93 per hour
