DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to give life in an outpatient dialysis center. You can make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
About the role
Deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way—the way you'd want your own care to be. Nephrology experience is not required; training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
- Work as part of a supportive team in a positive environment.
- Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and a broad range of nursing skills.
- Use head, heart, and hands each day in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- IV certification required if required by state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system.
- BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
- Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in DaVita's computer systems within 90 days of hire required.
Training and schedule
- No dialysis experience is required; training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic.
- Float to various facilities during and after training.
- Flexible schedule required, including ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
