Licensed Practical Nurse

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our outpatient dialysis center team. The ideal candidate can work flexible hours, including early morning and late evening shifts, and occasionally on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease in an outpatient setting.
• Work with a team to support and rely on each other in a positive environment.
• Provide care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and leveraging a broad range of nursing skills.
• Operate the water treatment system according to state regulations.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• IV certification if required by state regulations.
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and the governing body as required by CMS guidelines.
• BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation.
• One year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• Functional proficiency in computer systems of DaVita within 90 days of hire.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 12 hours long, starting as early as 4:00am and ending as late as 4:00pm. There are 2 Saturdays per month.
