Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Type: Full-Time Shift: 12:00p – 8:00p, Monday through Thursday and Fridays, 7a-3p Location: Broomall, PA Pay: $40/hr Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 care for a 32-year-old female with complex medical and behavioral needs. The nurse will provide direct support, medication administration, and continuous supervision to ensure safety and well-being. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and comfortable working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and seizure disorders. Client Summary 32-year-old femaleDiagnoses include:Moderate Intellectual Disability (ID)Intractable Mixed Seizure DisorderOppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)Verbal with limited vocabularyAmbulatoryTypically sleeps through the night without concernsSleep should not be interrupted, as disruption may trigger seizuresSeizures are unpredictable and most commonly occur overnight or early morningRequires within arm’s reach supervision at all times for safetySeizure protocol in place from University of Pennsylvania Neurology Responsibilities Provide 1:1 nursing supervision and careTake vital signs prior to medication administrationAdminister medications at 12:00 PM and 8:00 PMMonitor for seizure activity and follow established seizure protocolEvaluate client status after seizure activityAdminister rescue medication per seizure protocol when requiredComplete seizure logs and incident reportsMaintain daily nursing documentationAssist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including:Meal preparationFeeding assistanceToiletingPersonal careEnsure the client’s safety and well-being at all times Qualifications Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in [State]Experience with seizure disorders preferredExperience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferredAbility to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situationsStrong documentation and communication skillsCompassionate, patient-centered approach to care Additional Information Training will be provided on the client's specific seizure protocolNurse must maintain close supervision and situational awareness at all times Equal Opportunity Employer: ATC Healthcare Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
