LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care to the community, ranging from simple to complex, which includes providing emergency first aid, treating illnesses and injuries, administering vaccines, scheduling medical tests, performing urine screens, and dispensing medications.
• Prepares, files and/or retrieves a variety of records, reports, and/or related documentation including patient information, paperwork, court papers, certifications, and/or other related documents.
• Captures and maintains records and reports.
• Maintains inventory, equipment, and supply levels; orders supplies when levels are low.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), completion of Licensed Practical Nurse training and two years' experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
• Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Preferred Phlebotomy And IV Certification.
• Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement.

• Facilitating training sessions and actively participating in continuing education.
• Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction.
