The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that serves all of the primary health care needs of families in the heart of North and Central Brooklyn. Our mission is to provide the most professional, courteous and highest quality health care, with dignity, to those we serve, especially the underserved population, without regard for ability to pay. In addition to operating the Health Centers, we operate School-Based Health Centers to increase the accessibility and availability of quality primary and preventive physical and mental health care to pre-school, elementary, middle and secondary school students in high-risk areas of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The LPN will provide clinical nursing functions based on the needs of different departments within the Center, assist practitioners and nurses with patient care, education and other nursing procedures as assigned in the clinical areas. Flexible with scheduling and location rotation as needed. Newly licensed candidates are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing functions across departments based on Center needs
• Assist practitioners and nurses with patient care, education, and nursing procedures
• Perform assigned nursing procedures in clinical areas
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling and willingness to rotate across all locations

Requirements

• Degree/Certificate from an approved School of Practical Nursing
• Associate's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Valid LPN License in New York State
• One year of experience as an LPN in a clinic setting (willing to train)
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must be flexible with scheduling and open to location placement as needed

Pay

Hourly rate starts at $30–35 based on experience.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm
• Rotations to all locations required
• Late nights until 7:00 pm as needed
• Saturday shifts (usually 1–2 times per month)
