About the role
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in directing nursing services for a designated unit under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Delegating duties to nursing staff and monitoring their performance.
- Observing patients for symptoms or reactions indicating adverse changes.
- Notifying physicians of emergencies or patient deaths and implementing orders as instructed.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and graduation from an accredited Nursing School.
- Current valid LPN license from the appropriate licensing board.
- Yearly CPR certification and participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
Skills
- Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ability to provide quality patient care, follow medical orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
