Primary Responsibilities
- Observe clients and report any changes in physical, social or emotional condition.
- Report changes to the Registered Nurse.
- Communicate in a timely manner with physicians and nurse practitioners regarding changes of condition requiring medical interventions.
- Assist with ordering and setting up client medications.
- Monitor unlicensed staff and provide guidance to promote the completion of duties and responsibilities for clients in a timely, professional, respectful, and dignified manner.
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of job performance of unlicensed staff in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
- Aid in the training of new employees as directed.
- Identify and respond appropriately to emergencies. Initiate emergency treatment.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Wage: $29.00-$31.65
- Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm
- Hours: 0.5 AM, rotating weekends
Education, Experience And Credentials:
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota and must maintain licensure.
- Current certification in CPR preferred; upon hire if not certified, must obtain no later than the completion of on the floor orientation.
- Two or more years of experience working with the geriatric population or in a similar care environment preferred.
