Licensed Practical Nurse - Ambulatory Orthopedic and Sports LPN

Position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500, subject to terms, conditions, and change.

About the role

The LPN works under the general supervision of the Practice Supervisor, an Ambulatory RN, or other licensed provider to deliver excellent patient care while complying with HIPAA and CVPH confidentiality policies.

• Manage patient flow while supporting physician(s) to ensure efficient use of their time and minimize patient wait time.
• Support fast-paced clinic and providers with in-office procedures and administrative tasks (e.g., disability paperwork).
• Perform operational and quality/risk management duties according to regulations and protocols.
• Regular use of independent judgment to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and practices.

Schedule

• Primary Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• May also be scheduled to work Secondary Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York.
• Understanding and commitment to CVPH core values of teamwork, commitment, confidentiality, and quality care.
• Excellent attention to detail and above-average spelling and memory skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medications.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, providers, patients, and external customers.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical practice management and/or electronic medical records systems preferred.
• Ability to utilize available business technology to perform assigned duties.
• Above-average organizational skills.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions with minimal supervisory direction.
• Experience in the use of personal computers required; proficient in Microsoft Word.
• As applicable, training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is provided.
