Licensed Practical Nurse - 1st shift

About the Role

Merakey is seeking a Nurse who will make an impact on the lives of adults living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The nurse will work on the AVS campus with 5 residential buildings and 6 group homes totaling 107 residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adults with developmental and physical disabilities
• Complete clinical assessments
• Administer medications
• Manage acute medical emergent conditions
• Provide enteral feedings as well as respiratory treatments and care

Program Description

Merakey AVS is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.

Qualifications

• Current license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of PA
• One year of experience as an LPN preferred
• Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities
• A current and valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation may be required

Schedule

• M - F 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Pay

• Standard base rate: $29.00 per hour
• Optional Enhanced Pay: + $2.00 per hour (for full-time employees opting out of our primary medical/dental/vision)
