Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant/Therapy Assistant
Position Overview
Western State Hospital is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant/Therapy Assistant to work with the physical therapist to improve client's function, by eliminating functional limitations and preventing disability and maximize the client's functional independence while respecting their psychiatric function.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide PT intervention to clients based on physical therapy evaluation;
- Provide mobility consults;
- Procure assistive devices and adjustments as needed;
- Document for PT services to justify services and document progress;
- Complete assigned unit client initial assessments in conjunction with other licensed rehab staff;
- Develop and implement PSR group interventions across all PSR Learning Centers;
- Order clinic supplies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- Active PTA licensure in the state of Virginia.
