Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Role Overview The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing environment. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA helps patients achieve functional progress and improve quality of life within a patient-centered setting. Key Responsibilities Implement and follow physical therapy treatment plans.Chart patient progress accurately and timely.Utilize therapy software and maintain documentation standards.Assist with patient mobility and safety, including evacuation procedures.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.Maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, and demonstrate professionalism.Participate in community health initiatives as appropriate. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).Current licensure or registration in the applicable state.Preferred prior experience in post-acute care.CPR certification (obtained upon hire or during orientation).Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.Strong communication, judgment, and teamwork skills.Physical ability to perform tasks including sitting, standing, lifting, and movement.
