About the role
The Administrator is responsible for the successful leadership, management, and growth of the facility; the implementation of approaches and services to maintain or enhance resident health, independence, and resident satisfaction; participation in sales and marketing activities; and collaboration within the larger network of skilled nursing facilities. Duties vary by facility size, level of care, managerial structure, and focus, but this position is ultimately responsible for all patient care and business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its long-term goals and mission.
- Coordinate and provide leadership to each clinical, managerial, and custodial team, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are followed.
- Provide regular safety and compliance training.
- Create and maintain a budget.
- Oversee billing and set fees.
- Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public, and residents’ families; serve as a liaison between staff, residents, and families.
- Participate in sales and marketing activities.
Requirements
- Valid Nursing Home Administrator license in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
