Scope of Position
The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) provides various resident direct care activities and related non-licensed services necessary in caring for and monitoring the personal needs and comfort of the residents under the direction of a licensed nurse.
Responsibilities
- We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being.
- The LNA provides our residents with comfort and care through bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, answering call lights/alarms, and more. The LNA observes/report any changes or concerns in residents’ activities.
- The LNA maintains the unit common areas along with the resident’s room by making their beds and arranging their personal belongings.
- The LNA follows all established safety and infection control policies/procedures and intervenes/report unsafe situations.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistant as set by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid, unencumbered New Hampshire LNA license.
- Prior experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care settings is preferred.
- CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
- National Caregiver Certification Course (NCCC) welcomed.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Shift Differential
- 2nd Shift: $4.00/hour
- 3rd Shift: $5.00/hour
- Weekend Premium: $2.00/hour
Qualifications
This position is not eligible for Rockingham County benefits. Mandatory post-offer physical and drug testing for new hire. Criminal records check required.
