Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) - Medical Intensive Care Unit, Rotating

Responsibilities

• Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services
• Affords assistance to nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care duties
• Maintains direct access to drug products and secure medication locations
• Manages the storage, handling and disposal of medications according to policy
• Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Performs ADL’s, obtains clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights
• Utilizes universal precautions, collects specimens or performs point of care testing, and records results in the medical record
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment by keeping hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full
• Assists visitors and answers telephones
• Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department

Requirements

• High school graduate required
• Demonstrates keyboarding skills and familiarity with computer use
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
