About the role
Webster at Rye, a non-profit facility located in beautiful Rye, NH, is currently seeking additional Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs) for its Assisted Living Community. Flexible scheduling is available upon request.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under supervision as assigned.
- Serve meals, feed patients who require it, and assist them in the dining room.
- Provide fluids and nourishment for residents.
- Maintain a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment for residents, considering cleanliness, ventilation, lighting, repairs, and furniture arrangement.
- Answer residents' calls for assistance promptly.
- Report to the supervising nurse immediately if the resident complains, has a change in condition, or if there are other special needs.
- Perform specific functions as taught by professional personnel in accordance with Community policies.
- Carry out housekeeping functions on the unit that are not assigned to the Housekeeping Department.
- Carry out technical duties and procedures as assigned if the individual has completed an in-service program on such.
- Maintain good relationships with residents and their families and friends, as well as with the public in general.
- Transport residents as required.
- Assume all other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse.
- Assume responsibility for self-safety and safety of the immediate work environment.
- Attend annual in-service programs regarding body mechanics, right-to-know laws, and fire and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Must have attended training as a nurse assistant in a formal course.
- Must have satisfactorily completed a certification program in the State of New Hampshire.
- Must be licensed in the State of New Hampshire.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, including physical activities that involve walking, bending, kneeling, twisting up to 4-6 hours per day.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have motor coordination of arms, legs, hands, wrists, and fingers on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a good driving record.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
