Responsibilities
- Performs direct and indirect nursing care for patients under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse.
- Accounts to the unit manager/charge nurse for the care provided to assigned patients.
- Arranges off-site resident appointments and operates the Woodridge vehicle to provide transportation to appointments.
- Manages medical records under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
- Provides care to assigned patients in conformance with Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, physician orders, and an approved plan of care.
- Promotes communication of patients’ status, changes in condition, and patients’ needs with the licensed nurse.
- Functions within Nursing Department and CVMC and Woodridge policies and procedures.
- Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the nursing department and CVMC and Woodridge.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Registered in the State of Vermont as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
- Valid motor vehicle license.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in a health care setting is preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
