Licensed Nurse

About the role

Pinnacle Health & Rehab at Sanford is seeking licensed nurses (RN or LPN) for various shifts including full-time, part-time, and per diem positions. The ideal candidate should enjoy working with the elderly and thrive in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and advocate for residents while being respectful and empathetic of their needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and care as prescribed in the care plan.
• Update charts, CNA assignments, and nursing care plans with accurate information as needed.
• Handle resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Accurately and timely complete paperwork related to these processes.
• Receive and document receipt of medications from the pharmacy, then store them appropriately in med carts/rooms.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Attend mandatory facility in-services and staff meetings at least four times a year, staying updated on nursing care trends and showing a commitment to personal growth.

Requirements

• Sufficient knowledge of nursing practices and techniques to provide high-level resident care.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A cooperative and effective work style within an interdisciplinary team.
• CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in the State of Maine.
• A graduate of an approved school of nursing.
