Licensed Mental Health Professional - Part Time - 4 Hours Weekly , Saturday and Sunday

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified through prescreening during the booking process or via nursing services, under supervision.
• Deliver individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions under supervision.
• Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health for referred detainees.
• Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.
• Monitor and assess therapeutic support for segregated and isolated detainees.
• Support and supplement county behavioral health services in stabilizing at-risk detainees.
• Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care, discharge planning, and case management by sharing pertinent patient information.
• Complete documentation and maintain records for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement (CQI) under supervision.
• Demonstrate commitment to providing behavioral health support and training to solve problems and improve lives.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work) required.
• Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board preferred.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained while in this role (hands-on or online certifications accepted).
• Ability to practice independently.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
