LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR (LMFT, LCSW, OR LPC)

Basic Function

To provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families in an office setting. Therapist will be able to utilize many trauma informed treatment modalities with the client population we serve.

Specific Duties

  • Conduct psychosocial assessment and treatments plans for individuals and families experiencing mental health issues.
  • Provide traumabased counseling, crisis counseling, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and other treatment models as appropriate.
  • Provide therapeutic services with emphasis on the effective coordination of resources with other programs to provide comprehensive services, which maintain the respect and dignity of the clients.
  • Oversight of weekly domestic violence and sexual abuse groups by facilitating or cofacilitating groups.
  • Maintain accurate and current records on all clients as required by the agency and its funding sources.
  • Maintain cordial professional relationships with allied professionals.
  • Provide consultation/education to agencies and organizations that serve survivors of domestic abuse/sexual violence/mental health struggles.
  • Enhance professional expertise by seeking out and attending approved training and workshops that focus on providing therapy to domestic and sexual assault survivors.
  • Maintain professional credentials and/or licensure requirements of the counselor’s specific field of human service provision if this status has been reached.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the professional code of ethics that govern the therapist’s academic discipline of field of human service delivery.
  • Complete in a timely fashion all necessary weekly and monthly records that pertain to services provided, time and attendance, travel and workshop reimbursement, continuing education, which is received or provided, and other records deemed appropriate by the agency.

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed professional in counseling, psychology, social work or related field
  • Fluency in Spanish and English

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience
