About the role

We are seeking passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to provide psychosocial assessments, preliminary diagnoses, and evidence-based psychotherapeutic treatments for children and adolescents with a wide range of mental health disorders. This role includes case management support planning, consultation, and assisting families in coping with their child’s mental health challenges while partnering with treatment team members, including medical providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based psychotherapy services and interventions to patients and families.
• Document assessments, continuing treatments, and treatment planning in the electronic medical record in a timely manner.
• Screen and assess complex mental health needs of patients and families, identifying strengths, weaknesses, services, and financial constraints.
• Deliver rapid response to emergency needs using evidence-based interventions to stabilize and resolve crisis situations.
• Develop linkages with providers and community services to enable patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Participate in weekly administrative staffing meetings to review new patients, ongoing treatments, and treatment planning and coordination.
• Ensure timely referrals to community resources and support, and follow up on such referrals.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or a related field.
• Meets all State of Florida requirements for Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Two years of post-degree supervised experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professionals with one of the following credentials and training in psychotherapy:
  • Social worker with a master’s degree or doctorate from an accredited school of social work.
  • Counselor with a master’s degree in counseling.
  • Psychologist with a master’s degree or doctorate in clinical psychology.
  • Other professional license to provide counseling and psychotherapy services accredited by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
• Active State of Florida LCSW or LMHC license.
• 2-3 years of full-time clinical counseling experience.

Pay

$65,000 - $75,000 annually; commensurate with education and experience.
