About the role

The Licensed Medicare Telesales Agent serves as a licensed insurance agent to explain Plan Medicare benefits and answer questions from potential members or their responsible party. The role involves identifying potential membership leads, assisting with enrollment, providing ongoing marketing support to in-network skilled nursing facility staff, conducting facility and community marketing events, and delivering provider education for both I-SNP and D-SNP plans.

Responsibilities

  • Explain Plan benefits and answer questions from potential members or their responsible party.
  • Coordinate with sales leadership to enroll residents into institutional special needs plans (I-SNPs) and dual special needs plans (D-SNPs).
  • Work with sales administration management for enrollment admin support as needed.
  • Utilize sales closing skills to drive enrollments and maintain a strong close rate.
  • Follow established sales policies and standard operating procedures, updating company systems and databases for referrals and enrollments.
  • Learn and comply with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rules and regulations.
  • Meet with potential members or their responsible party to answer questions, compare benefits, and assist during the enrollment process.
  • Participate in facility events for plan marketing in accordance with CMS guidelines.
  • Send monthly lists of upcoming enrollees to facility and agency contacts prior to month-end.
  • Ensure all member interactions comply with CMS regulations.
  • Conduct monthly facility audits using the provided checklist.
  • Manage a geographic territory of participating nursing facilities and counties for D-SNP marketing and enrollment.
  • Maintain a current life and health insurance license and AHIP certification.
  • Understand and articulate PruittHealth Premier Plan benefits, policies, and procedures to providers, potential members, and key decision-makers.
  • Complete annual Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse Training and Model of Care Training.
  • Travel to local meeting places and facilities within the assigned region as needed.

Requirements

  • Life & Health Insurance License (required by law).
  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • 2 years of health insurance sales experience (preferred).
  • Strong technological skills for connecting with potential members and families.
  • Ability to maintain health insurance licensure and continuing education requirements.
  • Comfortable communicating via web-based video platforms.
  • Proven ability to work independently and productively.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Dependable transportation, a current driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
  • Suitable home workspace for a productive office environment.

Qualifications

  • AHIP Certification (preferred upon hire).
  • Licensed to sell Life and Health insurance in required states.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and nursing community dynamics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages.
  • Georgia residents preferred.

Schedule

Full-time, 1st Shift (September – December).
