About the Role
The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) provides in-person psychotherapy services to the geriatric population within skilled nursing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions addressing emotional and behavioral health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with facility staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using a user-friendly electronic health record system.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted LMFT license in the relevant state.
- Prior experience in geriatric or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Ability to provide in-person services within a 45-minute radius, with mobility to move between patient rooms.
Skills
- Effective communication skills and basic technological proficiency, including EHR usage.
