Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and essential site data
  • Utilize advanced surveying techniques and state-of-the-art equipment, such as GPS and total stations, to ensure the accuracy of your findings
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients to prepare topographic maps and deliver detailed reports in a timely manner
  • Interpret legal documents to establish property boundaries and provide construction stakeout services for various infrastructure projects
  • Oversee and mentor junior surveyors, ensuring high-quality results that comply with all regulations

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, geography, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience
  • A Professional Land Surveyor license in at least one state
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A strong understanding of ALTA/NSPS standards, boundary law principles, and real property legal descriptions
  • Experience reviewing ALTA surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, and delivering CAD/GIS outputs using tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Experience managing external consultants and a working knowledge of title commitments and easements
  • Self-motivation, strong problem-solving skills, and exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities

Qualifications
