Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and greet clients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Absorb and provide answers to clients' questions regarding their existing insurance policies and coverage.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and other service requests.
  • Provide insurance ID cards, certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, and other policy documents.
  • Assist with billing questions, payments, and carrier correspondence.
  • Absorb and assist with new business applications, quotes, and gathering underwriting information.
  • Review applications and client information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Absorb and assist with policy renewals and renewal review preparation.
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding documentation, signatures, payments, underwriting requirements, and other requested information.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers, underwriters, claims representatives, mortgage companies, lenders, and other third parties as needed.
  • Maintain accurate client records and document client and carrier communications within the agency management system.
  • Scan, upload, organize, and properly document policy and client information.
  • Absorb and assist with reporting claims and directing claims-related questions appropriately.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, email, and other correspondence.
  • Absorb and assist with daily workflow, administrative needs, and special projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client, policy, and agency information.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service while representing Lewis Financial Group, LLC.

Qualifications

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed must be willing and able to obtain their Property & Casualty Insurance License prior to beginning employment.
  • Previous insurance agency or insurance industry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
  • Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, agency management systems, and carrier websites.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new insurance carrier systems and procedures.
  • Professional and friendly when interacting with clients, coworkers, and insurance carrier representatives.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
