Responsibilities
- Sales, Retention & Revenue Growth: Own the sale and ongoing service of ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a high-traffic ACG branch. Uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, grow ACG’s insurance portfolio, overcome objections, negotiate effectively, close sales, and meet or exceed individual sales targets and incentive plan expectations.
- Insurance Reviews & Policy Execution: Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and quote, bind, and issue policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong rapport with members and clients, respond to inquiries with professionalism and urgency, and support high customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand.
- Prospecting, Community Engagement & Referrals: Actively engage in local branch and community events to prospect, expand referral networks, develop new business opportunities, and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services to maximize overall member value.
Requirements
- Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
- Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 60 days of hire (ACG may assist candidates if you do not possess the appropriate license)
- Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
- Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable as deemed necessary within a time frame established by the Business Unit
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer-automated business environment (e.g., financial/banking)
- Insurance experience is helpful—but not required (training provided to help you get licensed and confident in the role)
Qualifications
- Sales Execution & Pipeline Management: Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities, including disciplined lead tracking, follow-up, pipeline management, and accountability for achieving and exceeding performance goals.
- Consultative Selling & Customer Discovery: Apply consultative selling techniques supported by deep product knowledge, strong listening skills, and the ability to quickly assess customer needs, identify coverage gaps, recommend appropriate solutions, and deliver tailored value.
- Prospecting & Business Development: Proven ability to generate new opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, networking, and other business-development efforts.
- Communication & Customer Mindset: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-first mindset and confidence in guiding sales conversations.
- Sales Technology & Tools: Proficient in leveraging technology to support sales execution, including CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
Work Environment
- Work in a temperature-controlled AAA branch location
- Willingness and ability to work irregular hours for community events
- Some travel to local events may be required
Pay

- Base pay (non-exempt)
- Typical first-year earnings: $50,000 - 70,000+ (including base, commission, and bonuses; compensation will rise with experience and has six-figure potential)
- Ramp-up support: $2,500 (processed at 30 and 60 days of employment)
- Supplement Pay for seven months:
- $200 a week during months 0-2
- $150/week during months 3-4
- $100/week during months 5-6
- Performance Incentives:
- Elevated commission structure during the first 15 months
- New Hire On-Pace Bonus tied to milestones

Time Off & Leave
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment.
- Full-time new employees receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements
- Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based on standard weekly hours and accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month
- Paid Holidays:
- Full-time employees: 10 company-paid holidays annually, plus 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays, and 1 volunteer day
- Part-time employees: 8 company-paid holidays annually, plus 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays
- Holidays vary by business unit schedules
