Licensed Insurance Agent- Evening Shift

About the role
Pumpkin is seeking a friendly and motivated Insurance Agent to join the Customer Care team. This role involves researching and responding to insurance and non-insurance customer inquiries across phone, email, text, chat, and social media, as well as processing new enrollments, claims, and fulfillment tasks. The ideal candidate is passionate about pets, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Shift: 12:00–8:30 PM EST | Location: Remote – United States
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer care across multiple communication channels (phone, email, text, chat, and social media) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Use problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues, rectify poor experiences, and maintain positive relationships.
- Apply company policies to ensure compliance for claims and policies, and know when to make exceptions.
- Answer customer questions and provide information on insurance and non-insurance topics.
- Educate customers on full product offerings and proactively assist them in purchasing additional coverage.
- Process new customer enrollments, incoming claims, and ongoing fulfillment tasks in accordance with company policies.
- Use ticketing software, back-office tools, and other digital platforms to manage and track performance.
- Perform data entry for customer interactions, enrollments, and claims.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a customer service role with a high degree of customer interaction.
- Experience with ticketing software (e.g., Zendesk, Kustomer, Gladly).
- Roll-up-your-sleeves mentality—does what it takes to get the job done.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Great attention to detail in all tasks.
- Entrepreneurial interest and a passion for pets.
- Existing Property & Casualty Insurance License.
