About the role
Kemper Life is seeking licensed insurance agents to join our field sales teams. As a licensed agent, you’ll be assigned an established book of business, providing prospecting opportunities for new sales and immediate income through collections commissions. Our pay-for-performance model allows you to determine your own income—earning potential grows with your book of business. Responsibilities
- Coordinate home visits, conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales.
- Prospect for new sales opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Collect premiums on a pre-arranged schedule that you determine.
- Respond promptly to service requests, including beneficiary changes, claims, and loans.
- Handle record-keeping, account for money collected, and process policy paperwork.
- Grow your assigned territory through new sales and build strong customer relationships.
- Devote necessary time to fulfill role responsibilities and pursue continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Fully licensed to sell all Kemper Life products (Life, Health, P&C).
- Customer service experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage.
- Dependable vehicle for daily travel.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

- Licensed Agent Bonus Program: Up to $4,750 in bonuses during your first year ($750 at hire, $1,500 after six production months, $2,500 after 12 production months). To qualify, agents must maintain a $200 average monthly issued premium and be an active employee in good standing.
Pay
Uncapped commissions with immediate income through collections commissions for premiums collected each month. Earning potential increases as your book of business expands.
Schedule
Full-time with a flexible, self-determined schedule for customer visits and premium collection.
