Licensed Independent Claims Adjuster - Pet Insurance - Remote Position

About the role

We are seeking a licensed independent claims adjuster with strong background in pet health and certified vet tech experience to join our claims processing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the insurance claims process, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicates pet insurance claims with respect to policy limits and terms in a timely manner
• Evaluates and resolves claim issues accurately and efficiently
• Presents exceptional customer-centric service to both the insured and external parties
• Communicates professionally with external parties such as the insured, veterinary staff, breeders, or adoption agencies
• Manages all aspects of the claims process in the policy administration platform
• Prepares and provides reports to management as requested
• Establishes a strong working relationship with the insurance carrier paying claims
• Brings up ways to manage claims better and improve processes
• Communicates with customers for reviews and referrals
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Licensure: Adjuster License required
• Experience: At least three years of claims experience required, at least three years of customer service experience, at least five years of vet tech experience required
• Flexibility: Must be flexible and adaptable to changing processes
• Communication: Must be an expert communicator with the ability to build relationships, both over the phone and via messaging platforms
• Positive Attitude: Must be a positive, patient person with exceptional reading comprehension skills
• Teamwork: Must be a true team player willing to go above and beyond
