Licensed HVAC Technician
About the Role
Keep heating and cooling running across our residential portfolio. This is hands-on, multi-site work for a tech who'd rather diagnose and fix equipment than hand it to a vendor — and who can explain the repair to a resident standing in their own kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Run the preventive maintenance program: filters, coils, belts, condensate, combustion checks, seasonal changeovers, and HVAC scope on unit turns
- Troubleshoot and repair split systems, rooftop units, PTACs, mini-splits, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, and air handlers
- Handle refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging in full EPA 608 compliance, with accurate leak-rate and usage logs
- Respond to comfort work orders within service level targets and take part in the after-hours on-call rotation
- Scope and oversee outside contractors, flag aging equipment for capital planning, and keep van stock ready for first-visit fixes
Requirements
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Gas Fitter License
- 3+ years hands-on HVAC service and repair experience
- Ability to independently diagnose residential and light-commercial equipment, and read wiring diagrams and schematics
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and own hand tools (we provide specialty tools, meters, gauges, and a service vehicle)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Nice to Have
- NATE certification or state journeyman/contractor license
- NH/MA boiler operator license
- Multifamily or property management experience
- Building automation systems experience
- Experience with Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, or Entrata
- Conversational Spanish
Working Conditions
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working on ladders and rooftops, in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold
- Driving between properties throughout the day
