Licensed Group Therapist
About the role
The CREATE Program at CGRC is a year-round, innovative group social skills service designed for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism. The program aims to enhance social communication skills, improve problem-solving and emotional regulation, and boost flexibility and motivation across various settings.
Responsibilities
- Review behavior plans and documentation to understand the child or adolescent and their presenting problems.
- Engage with clients to identify individual, family, and community strengths and resources.
- Provide specific therapeutic support as outlined in the client’s treatment plan, including crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, time-structuring activities, time-out strategies, and psychosocial, rehabilitative activities.
- Support the creation and updating of curriculum and lesson plans.
- Monitor and support the client’s daily progress towards treatment goals and objectives.
- Collect and analyze program outcome data.
- Communicate consistently with families and other team members about the client’s progress.
- Able to intervene and provide immediate assistance in crisis situations.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field, with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Experience in providing therapy to individuals with autism, particularly in group settings, is preferred. Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as the CREATE program is beneficial.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Workdays are Monday through Thursday from 3-7 PM.
