Licensed Funeral Director

We are seeking a Licensed Funeral Director to join our Pennsylvania team, splitting time between the Dugan and Hoffman Funeral Homes. You will be a trusted presence for families navigating grief, a steady hand behind the scenes, and a mentor to junior associates.

Responsibilities

• Lead funeral services that truly reflect each family's wishes and honor the life lived
• Guide families through the arrangement process with compassion, patience, and clarity
• Prepare the deceased for viewing, including embalming and cosmetic work
• Stay current and compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Strengthen community ties through meaningful outreach and relationship building
• Invest in the next generation by mentoring junior associates and funeral interns

Requirements

• Active funeral director licensure in Pennsylvania, or a willingness to obtain it
• Degree in mortuary science from an accredited program
• Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in a funeral home setting
• Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate effectively with grieving families
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with various communication platforms
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
