About the role
The Auto Club Group is seeking a Field Insurance Service Representative who will provide a high level of support to the Insurance Agency and members by servicing existing insurance accounts. Responsibilities include:
- Performing retention calls, processing applications, renewals, and amendments
- Resolving customer problems and selling membership and financial products (credit cards)
- Providing price quotes on all insurance products, factoring in applicable rules and discounts
- Taking insurance payments (initial, installment, lapse, or reinstatement)
- Responding to customers’ insurance inquiries and explaining product features and service advantages
- Referring to agents when appropriate and recognizing cross-sale opportunities
- Processing customer policies, endorsements, and status/coverage changes in accordance with state rules and corporate policies
- Assisting with sales processing activities and promoting Auto Club Group products and services
- Conducting outbound promotional and retention calls per management request
- Resolving member/customer complaints and seeking assistance from management as needed
- Participating in office events to generate insurance revenue and support local community activities
- Fulfilling, maintaining, and servicing insurance policies
- Responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, and coverage
- Preparing insurance proposals, policy changes, transfers, and billing clarification
- Contacting members regarding renewals, late premium payments, and reinstatements
- Verifying new business applications and referring members to other lines of business (e.g., Travel and Life)
- Processing insurance and membership payments
- Updating electronic member information and maintaining filing systems
Requirements
- Current Property & Casualty Insurance license
- Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
- Successful completion of Customer Service, Insurance, and Membership training within 6 months of hire
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience providing a high level of customer-focused service
- Experience servicing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments
- Experience responding to billing and coverage questions
- Experience processing monetary transactions, including taking payments
- Experience promoting the sales of insurance products and services using established guidelines
- Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
Skills
- Analyze member/potential customer insurance needs and determine appropriate levels of coverage
- Prepare accurate rate quotations
- Organize, plan, and promote the sale of ACG insurance and membership products and services
- Perform outbound service calls
- Maintain accurate records
- Understand insurance terminology, general insurance regulations, underwriting procedures, and sales regulatory/compliance guidelines
- Proficiency in insurance systems and/or membership systems (e.g., PPS, POS, IMS, IPM)
- Work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
- Exceed member expectations relating to professionalism, customer service, and workstation maintenance
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products
- Read, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely in the work environment and with the public
- Perform mathematical calculations to accurately process monetary transactions
- Work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced customer service environment
- Successfully complete training relative to all Auto Club Group (ACG) products and services

Pay
Starting hourly wage of $23.00 - $25.50 per hour, based on experience.
Work Environment
- Temperature-controlled office environment
- Willingness and ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and community events
