Licensed Electrician

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled E-1 Licensed Electrician to perform, supervise, and manage residential and commercial electrical projects. The role involves extensive experience in electrical installations, troubleshooting, service upgrades, renovations, and new construction while ensuring compliance with all applicable electrical codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential and commercial settings.
• Install, troubleshoot, and service electrical panels, switchgear, lighting systems, emergency generators, and conduct service upgrades.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings.
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, Connecticut State Building Code, and local requirements.
• Cook up inspections, obtain permits, and lead project compliance efforts.
• Supervise and mentor E-2 electricians, apprentices, and helpers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Communicate professionally with clients, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and project progress.
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active Connecticut E-1 Unlimited Electrical Contractor License.
• Minimum 10+ years of electrical experience in residential and commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and Connecticut electrical codes.
• Experience with new construction, renovations, service work, generator installations, tenant fit-outs, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Ability to supervise crews and manage multiple projects.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and construction sites.
