Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring work complies with relevant codes.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all electrical units in the facility
  • Perform scheduled checks to spot malfunctions
  • Comply with all safety norms and regulations
  • Use and handle electrical testing and repair equipment appropriately
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the supervising manager
  • Maintain records of electrical inventories and order spare parts and equipment
  • Log electrical repair and maintenance works
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety, supporting Wanzek’s Zero Injury principles

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical units
  • Sound understanding of handling and using electrical repair tools and equipment
  • Ability to read, develop, and follow blueprints and wiring schematics
  • Calculate figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree/diploma in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Four or more years of experience working as an electrician, including 1 year as a licensed electrician
  • Journeyman electrical license in Oklahoma (required)
