About the role

Join our team as a Resident Hair Specialist and help enrich the lives of seniors through compassionate, personalized care. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality hair services in a safe, welcoming environment tailored to the unique needs of our senior residents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thorough consultations, haircuts, styling, chemical treatments, and related services tailored for senior residents.
  • Offer gentle, patient care, always considering mobility, comfort, and individual needs.
  • Educate residents on age-appropriate hair care and maintenance practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salon space in compliance with health standards and State Board Guidelines.
  • Build meaningful relationships while maintaining a warm, professional presence within the community.

Requirements

  • Current Cosmetology License (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ licensed experience in cosmetology.
  • Experience working with senior clientele is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in haircutting, styling, and chemical services.
  • Strong attention to detail and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and a caring, empathetic demeanor.

Qualifications

  • A genuine desire to uplift others through service and connection.

Skills

  • Knowledge of classic and current hair techniques that cater to mature hair, including perms, roller sets, and teasing.

Pay

Additional Information

  • Bonus Amount and Payment Schedule
    • The Employee will be eligible to receive a total sign-on bonus of $1,000, to be paid in installments as follows:
      • 25% ($250) after successful completion of the 90-day probationary period. To qualify, the Employee must:
        • Complete the required CARES certification (if applicable),
        • Demonstrate successful adherence to RSS paperwork protocols, and
        • Effectively utilize RSS systems.
      • 25% ($250) after completion of 6 months of employment with RSS. The Employee must be in good standing and have adhered to all RSS policies and protocols.
      • 50% ($500) after completion of 1 year of employment with RSS. The Employee must remain in good standing and continue to meet all RSS performance expectations, policies, and protocols.
    • If the Employee is not in good standing, voluntarily resigns, or is terminated prior to completing one year of employment, RSS reserves the right to withhold unpaid bonus installments.
