Licensed Clinician - Lebanon, CT

About the role

The Licensed Counselor at Lebanon Pines will provide direct clinical services to residents in a long-term, recovery-focused setting. This position requires a strong clinical background and a commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Orient clients to the program, including program goals, rules of conduct, and client rights upon admission
• Ensure insurance authorizations are accounted for in alignment with dates of treatment and services provided
• Provide education and information to clients individually and in group settings on substance use disorders and recovery resources
• Cookordinate case management needs, matching services, agencies, and community resources with clients to assist with discharge planning
• Provide crisis intervention services in response to clients experiencing acute emotional or physical distress
• Support clients in identifying strengths, challenges, and needs to inform ongoing treatment planning for substance use and/or mental health concerns
• Identify client needs that exceed the current level of care and assist with referrals to appropriate support systems and community resources
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to report on client progress and modify established treatment plans as needed
• Formulate clinical interventions to promote client stability, engagement, and investment in treatment
• Provide counseling for family members or significant others as appropriate
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including progress notes, referral and contractual networking records, and incident reports
• Establish individualized treatment plans with clients, incorporating targeted goals, objectives, and interventions that maximize strengths and available resources
• Utilize individual, group, and family counseling skills to help clients explore problems, examine attitudes and feelings, consider alternative solutions, and make meaningful decisions
• Chart assessment and treatment planning results, writing reports, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other client-related documentation in a timely manner

Requirements

• Clinical Licensure: Associate licensure (LMSW, LPC-A, or LMFT-A) or independent licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LADC) required
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities
• Experience with crisis intervention and emergency response
• Experience with family therapy and group counseling

Pay

Starting Salary: $60,000 (Associate License) | $80,000 (Independent License)
