Licensed Clinician - (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)- Staunton, VA

MPAC Healthcare is looking for Licensed Clinicians (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) who are excited to set a new bar for the quality of care provided to seniors. The autonomous nature of the Licensed Clinician role lets clinicians function like a private practice without the hassle of managing a back office. The majority of your time will be clinically focused, with the remainder dedicated to patient documentation and facility correspondence. You will work as an on-site clinical provider with residents and their families, functioning as an active, lead member of an interdisciplinary team addressing residents’ emotional, social, and psychological needs. You will have the opportunity to manage your caseload, schedule, and ultimately, your salary.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessments and utilize psychotherapy to address mental health issues while offering ongoing support.
• Function as an active, lead member of an interdisciplinary team of physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Manage all documentation requirements and stay up-to-date on Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.
• Foster open communication with facility teams and your Regional Clinical Manager to ensure the success of clinical programs.
• Take initiative and communicate effectively with patients, their families, nursing staff, facility social services teams, and other MPAC providers.
• Ensure the mental health needs of residents are met through high-level organization and effective documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and a valid LCSW, LMFT, or LPC license in the state for which you are applying.
• Two years of counseling and therapy experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic approaches.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
• Ability to work as a team member with a positive attitude.
• High level of organization to manage patient needs and documentation effectively.
• Comfortable working in the ever-changing environment of a skilled nursing facility.
• Knowledge of the Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.
• Passion for working with older adults.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Experience in the nursing home or healthcare setting is a plus.

Schedule

Ability to work within a 40-hour work week, primarily focused on clinical duties.
