Licensed Clinician - ( LCPC, LMFT)- Westbrook, ME

MPAC Healthcare is looking for Licensed Clinicians (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW) who are excited to set a new bar for the quality of care provided to seniors. The autonomous nature of the Licensed Clinician role lets clinicians function like a private practice without the hassle of managing a back office. The majority of your time will be clinically focused, with the remainder dedicated to patient documentation and facility correspondence. You will work as an on-site clinical provider with residents and their families, functioning as an active, lead member on an interdisciplinary team addressing residents’ emotional, social, and psychological needs. You have the opportunity to manage your caseload, schedule, and ultimately, your salary.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessments and utilize psychotherapy to address mental health issues while offering ongoing support.
• Function as an active, lead member on an interdisciplinary team of physicians and nurse practitioners.
• Responsible for all documentation requirements and staying up-to-date on Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.
• Foster open communication with the facility team and your Regional Clinical Manager to ensure the success of clinical programs.
• Take initiative and effectively communicate in multiple settings with patients, families, nursing staff, facility social services teams, and other MPAC providers.
• Manage patient needs, document effectively, and ensure the mental health needs of residents are met.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and a valid LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC license in the state for which you are applying.
• Two years of counseling and therapy experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic approaches.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
• Ability to work as a member of a team with a positive attitude.
• High level of organization to manage patient needs and documentation effectively.
• Comfortable working in the ever-changing environment of a skilled nursing facility.

Additional Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Medicare Benefit and commercial insurance plans.
• Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in the nursing home space (preferred).
• Passion for working with older adults.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with strong medical knowledge and understanding of documentation (CMS, Medicare, Medicaid).
