About the role
The role of Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York (RMA of NY) is part of a nationally respected organization. This position is based in New York, New York (Eastside) and involves working five days a week, daytime hours with one day being a weekend day, and rotating holidays. Compensation is $43.26 to $44.23 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, report and maintain records of patient test results.
- Perform chemiluminescent immunoassays on serum samples using automated equipment, including calibration, cleaning, and maintenance as required by the manufacturer.
- Perform semen analyses including sperm count, motility, morphology, and viability. Maintain sterile technique throughout.
- Maintain records demonstrating that PT samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
- Adhere to quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
- Identify and correct problems affecting test performance or report issues immediately.
- Study and review laboratory operating manuals and become familiar with quality assurance, safety procedures, and operating guidelines.
- Participate in laboratory operations as directed.
- Attend laboratory meetings as requested.
- Participate in laboratory proficiency testing programs.
- Attend skill enhancement programs as directed by supervisor.
- Provide assistance and support to RMA of NY satellite laboratories as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a biological or clinical laboratory science required.
- Current NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required.
- Aptitude for performance of laboratory services.
- Proven skills to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
- Ability to work in a high standard, stressful environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay
$43.26 to $44.23 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Five days per week, daytime hours with one day being a weekend day, and rotating holidays. Ability to float to the Westside and/or Brooklyn locations as needed.
