Position Summary

Provides athletic training services on an ongoing basis. Performs a wide variety of duties requiring specific knowledge of the clinic's policies and procedures.

Position Key Accountabilities

  • Conducts patient's post-operative appointments and performs post-operative procedures such as dressing changes and removal of sutures.
  • Maintains clinical supplies for the department.
  • Responsible for providing patient documentation.
  • Liaison with Physical Therapy providers.
  • Maintains and assists in transporting patient charts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, athletic training or related field required.

Minimum Experience

2 years of experience as a Licensed Athletic Trainer required.

Physical Requirements

Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Security Sensitive

This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code 51.215 and Texas Government Code 411.094.

Residency Requirement

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
