About the role
We are seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) to join our team.
Qualifications
- Educated to Master’s level in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field
- Licensed with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid California Driver’s License with a driving record meeting company eligibility policies
- First Aid certification from an approved provider (such as the American Red Cross) or the ability to obtain it upon hire

- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a diverse nursing team
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with clients, staff, physicians, and community partners

Duties
- Affirmatively assess clients at the start of treatment (as needed)
- Develop and maintain treatment plans
- Conduct family collateral and discharge planning
- Discuss goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establish a contract with the consumer
- Interview consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis
- Respond to potential suicide or other emergency events
- Visit clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff

Centers provide outpatient mental health services to children and their families. Services include individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, case management, rehabilitative/skill building services, medication management and support.
