The Zone Manager serves as a key strategic partner and maintains a constant awareness of L.A. Insurance’s competition within an assigned region. The Zone Manager reports to and assists the Director of Field Operations by being fully accountable for the success of an assigned group of stores by directing all operational aspects of store operations and assigned region. Key Responsibilities Manages and directs a geographic region consisting of multiple stores within the Zone. Responsible for ensuring that Agents make certain that their stores maintain clean, well- organized, and functional at all times. Ensures that policies, procedures, and controls are followed. Responsible for activities related to strengthening customer relationships and employee relationships through excellent service and education relative to client insurance needs and employee needs. Improve client retention of current and additional product offerings. Make regular visits with Agents to ensure compliance in all areas of customer service, store operations, and loss prevention. Monitoring locations either in person or by the camera system. Schedule if an agent calls in sick, shifting coverage if needed and transferring phone lines. Maintain Zone performance by covering an office if necessary. Assist accounting with reconciling accounts, ensuring timely daily log submissions and audits. Ensure the Zone maintains proper staffing levels, that Agents properly record hours worked and approve payroll on a timely basis. Watch Zone performance and provide sales support. Assist agents with underwriting questions. Ensure offices are well equipped with all necessities to run business on a daily basis. Assist in recruiting, hiring, , and providing appropriate constructive feedback regarding performance and/or conduct. Ensure that Agents are kept current on all policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines, and that all stores maintain a work environment free from discrimination and harassment. Work in a cooperative manner with coworkers and superiors. Under the direction of department leadership, supports quality improvement initiatives to support exemplary customer satisfaction. Maintains a thorough understanding of what L.A. Insurance provides to our customers and other agency/regulatory requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Key Requirements A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Manager and licensed Insurance Agent in the state of Michigan. Valid drivers license and auto insurance. Vast knowledge of the insurance industry. Effective at multi-tasking and prioritization. Meticulous attention to detail. Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers. Experience working in a high volume, high energy, fast paced sales environment. Experience in prospecting, cultivating, and maintaining new and existing relationships with employees and customers alike. This position requires a flexible work schedule, availability of overtime during surges in workload, strong organizational skill and coordination skills, ability to work independently, quick learner, team player, proactive, goal-oriented, excellent communication, strong writing and analytical skills, and advanced computer skills. Education Active Resident and Producer Property and Casualty license. High School diploma or GED. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 5lbs at a time. Hearing and vision abilities within normal range. Exposure to variety of weather conditions when traveling to agencies and or the corporate office.
