About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN) to work the 7 pm to 7 am shift at our residential treatment center in Hammond, Louisiana. In this role, you will focus on helping teenage girls struggling with mental health challenges, including trauma, disordered eating, and/or substance abuse.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Charge RN for your assigned shift, overseeing the nursing care delivery system and supervising the clinical program.
  • Ensure nursing care aligns with ANA standards.
  • Participate in planning, coordinating, and documenting total patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Accurately report and record patient conditions, including signs and symptoms of change.
  • Prepare daily clinical/progress notes, incorporate them into the clinical record weekly, and document monthly recertifications/Master Treatment Plan Updates with the treatment team.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living while teaching self-care techniques.
  • Educate and supervise other healthcare personnel to ensure continuity of care.
  • Implement and sustain all physician orders.
  • Complete, maintain, and submit accurate and relevant clinical notes.
  • Participate in case conferences, in-services, and other meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state of Louisiana.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Certification in non-violent crisis intervention.
  • LPN Certification from an accredited program (if applicable).

Physical Demands

  • Full range of physical capabilities, including handling and lifting patients.
  • Manual and finger dexterity, with good eye-hand coordination.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 40 lbs.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range.
