About the role
The BookOps position at the New York Public Library involves managing the library's collection of books and digital materials, including acquisitions, cataloging, and preservation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Manage the acquisition and cataloging of new books and digital materials
- Oversee the preservation of library collections
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the library's resources meet user needs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of library policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in library operations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of library management software and systems
- Experience with digital preservation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
