Library Media Paraprofessional - 6 hours/day

6 hours per day. Salary range: $18.57 - $25.36 (per contract).

Requirements

• Associates Degree or the equivalent sixty (60) college credits, or proof of having passed the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• Complete and current application documents:

  • Transcripts (if applicable)
  • Three Current Letters of Recommendation
  • Proof of having passed the ETS ParaPro Assessment or Associates Degree or sixty (60) college credits

Responsibilities

• Assist staff and students in the selection and/or location of library media materials.
• Prepare requisition for new materials.
• Maintain media center materials catalog.
• Keep inventory of library media supplies.
• Discharge library media materials.
• Assist in the upkeep of library media materials.
• Assist with the supervision of circulation routines.
• Assist with the preparation of special exhibits and printed lists.
• Supervise student assistants or media center volunteers.
• Coordinate classroom assignments with available library media materials.
• Assist with maintaining discipline as appropriate.
• Participate in in-service programs when assigned.
• Operate all audio-visual equipment as necessary and assist teachers with same when necessary.
• Record all out-going and incoming audio-visual materials and equipment.
• Duplicate or copy media center materials for instructional use.
• Assume such other functions as may be delegated.
