About the role
The role involves providing reference services, assisting patrons with research needs, and maintaining library resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide reference assistance to patrons in person, by phone, and via email.
- Assist patrons with research needs using various online databases and resources.
- Maintain and organize library materials and cataloging systems.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with computers and basic software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science preferred.
- Knowledge of library management systems.
- Experience with public libraries or similar settings.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Customer service orientation.
