About the role
The Liberal Arts Division (Social Sciences) is dedicated to preparing students for success beyond Rose State College. The Division consists of innovative, nurturing faculty who strive to deliver quality courses that prepare students with the skills and knowledge necessary for academic transfer to other institutions and/or to enter the job market. The adjunct professors are an integral part of the division and bring work-related experiences, technological skills, applications, and innovative approaches to education into the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the areas of Criminal Justice, Family Services and Child Development, Health and Sports Sciences, History, Sociology, Nutrition, Geography.
- Bring work-related experiences, technological skills, applications, and innovative approaches to education into the classroom.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications generally include a master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline and two years college teaching experience.
- Adjunct opportunities in Family Services and Child Development and Health and Sports Sciences require lesser degrees.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree plus experience in early childhood and/or elementary education for Family Services and Child Development positions.
- Variety of certificates for Health and Sports Sciences positions.
