Liability Claims Associate | Remote (Central or Eastern Time Zone) | NY or HI Licensing Preferred

Responsibilities

• Handles lower-level liability and/or physical damage claims under close supervision.
• Supports other claims representatives, examiners, and leads with larger or more complex claims as necessary.
• Determines compensability and benefits due for general liability claims; monitors reserve accuracy, and files necessary documentation with state agencies.
• Communicates claim action/processing with claimants, clients, and appropriate medical contacts.
• Maintains professional client relationships.
• Processes routine payments and prescriptions and status reports for lifetime medical claims and/or defined period medical claims.
• Maintains proper documentation and ensures claims coding is correct.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).
• Travels as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licenses as required, preferably in NY or HI.
• One (1) year of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Claims industry experience preferred.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is ($24.00/hr).
