LFA Downstream Technician

About the role

The LFA Technician manufactures high-quality LFA products for IMMY customers. This role requires understanding the history, processes, and goals of the product line, with a focus on attention to detail, quality, and comfort with repetitive processes. Under moderate supervision, the technician performs tasks such as buffer preparation, packaging, labeling, and kitting finished goods while maintaining accurate records using the ERP system. The role may also involve assisting with process and equipment validations and contributing ideas to improve processes or product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operates production equipment related to packaging, labeling, and solution manufacture for the LFA Product Line.
  • Manufactures and processes LFA cards.
  • Prepares solutions for formula-locked reagents and general-use laboratory buffers.
  • Packages and labels work-in-progress (WIP) materials.
  • Kits and labels finished goods.
  • Performs minor equipment and process troubleshooting.
  • Uses Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and ERP software frequently.
  • May assist with validations for equipment and processes at the manager’s discretion.
  • Generates ideas to improve processes and product quality.
  • Performs supportive tasks for other teammates or teams as needed.
  • Records data and completes records following good documentation practices.
  • Communicates effectively, maintains a positive and flexible attitude, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures, internal and external quality standards, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-1 years of related experience.
  • Ability to perform minor troubleshooting.
  • Good teamwork, professional behavior, and effective communication skills.
  • Comfort with performing repetitive tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in an ISO 14971, ISO 13485, and/or FDA-regulated environment.
  • Experience working in a laboratory and using general lab equipment.
